End User Licence Agreement: Dynamic DNS for Plesk

Version 2.0, 3 November 2026

This agreement is between Dabbleam SL ("we") and whoever installs or uses the Dynamic DNS extension for Plesk (dabbleam-ddns, "the extension") or buys a licence for it ("you"). The buyer accepts it at checkout in our store, and the server administrator accepts it again in the Plesk panel before using the extension. If you do not accept it, do not use the extension.

1 Who we are

Dabbleam SL, NIF (Spanish tax ID) B42827717, Av. Andalucía 43, Bajo D, 11007 Cádiz, Spain, registered in the Registro Mercantil de Cádiz, tomo 2380, folio 143, sección 8, hoja CA-57780. support@dabbleam.com, +34 856 83 91 96, dabbleam.com.

2 Our general conditions

Buying a licence is a contract under our general conditions (https://dabbleam.com/condiciones); this agreement adds what is specific to the extension. On the software licence itself (use of the extension, editions, licence files, cancelling and withdrawing from a licence, updates, support and liability for the extension), this agreement prevails. On anything else, the general conditions prevail. Consumers' legal rights always apply.

The contract is in Spanish, and this licence is also binding in English. If the two versions differ, the one in the language you bought in prevails. The German, French and Italian versions shown in the panel are courtesy translations only.

3 Editions and prices

Edition Hosts per server Pro features Price, VAT included
Free 3 No Free, no licence file
Normal 25 No €2.50 a month or €25 a year
Pro 100 Yes €3.75 a month or €37.50 a year
Hosting Unlimited Yes €9.90 a month or €99 a year
  • Hosts are counted across the whole server, all its customers combined.
  • Every edition, Free included, has the full core: IPv4 and IPv6, dyndns2 and the JSON API, TXT hosts, the activity log and roles.
  • Pro features: allowed networks per host, and e-mail and webhook alerts when a host's IP changes, when it stops calling and when it calls again.
  • The Free edition is downloaded as a separate package, which does not include the Pro features or licence file uploads. The paid editions are downloaded from your client area (section 13). To move from Free to a paid edition, you install the paid copy over it: hosts, the activity log and settings are kept.
  • Paid licences require a daily check of a public list of revoked licences. A yearly licence that cannot check it for 30 days pauses until it checks again (section 9).
  • Prices include Spanish VAT (21%), which Spanish businesses and consumers pay. Businesses in other EU countries with a valid VAT number are charged without VAT (reverse charge), and consumers in other EU countries pay their country's VAT. The store shows your final price before you pay.

4 Your licence

4.1. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension on Plesk servers you operate: the Free edition, without a licence file, on any number of servers.

4.2. A paid licence covers one Plesk server, identified by its Plesk licence number (for example PLSK.12345678.0001), for the period paid. Its licence file only works on that server. To move it, or if the server's Plesk licence number changes, open a ticket with the new Plesk licence number. Moves are free and unlimited. The new licence file keeps the same end date, and we revoke the old server's licence at once, so the old server returns to Free within a day.

4.3. In every edition you may let your resellers and customers use the extension from Plesk, and you remain responsible for their use. Hosting adds capacity, not a different right.

4.4. Each copy of a paid edition is generated for your licence and carries a mark with your licence's service id, the server's Plesk licence number, the version and the date it was generated. The mark lets us know which licence a copy comes from if it turns up outside its server. It contains nothing from your server or your users, and it does not change how the extension works: if you change servers, the next update brings a copy with the new mark.

5 Billing and renewal

  • Paid licences renew automatically for the same period, a month or a year, until you cancel.
  • We send the invoice 16 days before each period ends, monthly or yearly. That e-mail is also the renewal notice: it tells you what renews, when and what it costs, that you can cancel up to the last day of the period, what happens if you do nothing (it renews and is charged) and the link to cancel. If it is not paid, we send reminders by e-mail. Once paid, we sign a new licence file (.lic): you get it with the "Download licence" button in your client area and attached to the activation or renewal e-mail, and the extension fetches it by itself if automatic renewal is on (section 9).
  • If a renewal is not paid, no new licence file is issued and, after the 14 days of grace, the server returns to Free (section 8). We then charge only the grace days on which the paid edition kept working, in proportion to the price of the period, not the whole period. If you cancelled in time (section 6), you owe nothing.

6 Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel at any time, up to the last day of the period, from your client area or by e-mail.
  • Monthly: it takes effect at the end of the month already paid.
  • Yearly: at the end of the paid year or, if you prefer, at the end of the current month with a refund: we charge the months used, including the current one, at the monthly price, and refund the rest. Example: Pro at €37.50 a year, cancelled in the fourth month: 4 × €3.75 = €15, refund €22.50.
  • This applies to businesses and consumers alike. If the next invoice was already sent, we cancel it.
  • With a refund, we revoke your licence at the end of the current month (section 8), and your server returns to Free.

7 Right of withdrawal

  • At checkout we ask "Are you buying for your business or profession?". The purchase is a business purchase if you answer yes, or if you buy as a company (with its CIF, the Spanish company tax ID) or with an EU VAT number with its country prefix. Non-profit associations and foundations buying for their non-profit activity are consumers, even with a CIF. A Spanish personal ID (DNI or NIE) on its own does not make it a business purchase.
  • Business purchases have no right of withdrawal. We issue the licence file as soon as the licence is activated.
  • Consumers (buying for themselves, not for a business or profession) have 14 days to withdraw, as our general conditions explain.
  • A licence file is digital content. Only consumers see the checkbox "I want to receive the licence now. I know that, once I receive it, I lose my right of withdrawal." If you tick it, we issue the licence file at once and, once you receive it, you can no longer withdraw. The order e-mail confirms it.
  • If you do not tick it, we issue the licence file on day 15, and your paid period starts that day. Until then you can withdraw with a full refund, and use the Free edition.
  • An automatic renewal is not a new contract and does not open a new 14-day period.

8 When a licence ends

A licence file is valid until the last paid day plus 14 days of grace, unless we revoke the licence after a cancellation with a refund. A revoked licence file stops working as if it had expired and cannot be uploaded again. After expiry or revocation, the server returns to Free:

  • nothing stops and nothing is deleted: existing hosts keep updating and their records stay;
  • no new hosts can be created while the server has 3 or more;
  • Pro alerts stop;
  • allowed networks stay enforced; you can narrow or remove them, but not widen them;
  • the paid copy you have installed works as the Free edition from that moment and no longer receives paid-edition updates;
  • if the licence remains invalid for 14 days in a row, the extension installs the Free edition over it by itself, even if you have updates turned off (sections 9 and 13). Hosts, the activity log, settings, allowed networks and alert data are kept; what disappears is the code of the Pro features. From the first day without a valid licence, the administrator sees a notice in the extension with the date of the change. If there is no connection, it tries again every day.

A new licence file restores the paid edition at once. If the Free edition has already been installed, you download the paid copy from your client area and install it over it, and alerts work again with the same settings. Uninstalling the extension deletes its data on the server; the DNS records stay in their zones as normal records.

9 What the extension sends to Dabbleam

The licence file is checked on your server, offline: Dabbleam signs it and the extension verifies the signature itself. The extension contacts dabbleam.com for three things only:

  1. Update check (section 13). Once a day, on by default; the administrator can turn it off.
    • With the Free edition, it downloads a public file from https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/releases/, the same for everyone, and sends no data: we only receive the server's IP address and a User-Agent identifying the extension. If the administrator agrees to let us count the installation (the extension asks the first time, and it can be changed in Settings > "Count this installation"), it also sends a random number that identifies the installation, created on your server without using any of its data, and the installed version. If the administrator does not agree, or withdraws their agreement, nothing is sent and the number is deleted from your server.
    • With a paid licence, it asks https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/releases/latest whether there is a new version and, if there is, downloads it from https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/releases/download. Both requests send the same data as the renewal (point 3): the server's Plesk licence number, your licence's service id and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the licence file you have now (not the file), plus the IP address and the User-Agent. We use them only to check the licence and prepare the copy with its mark (section 4.4).
    • If a paid licence has not been valid for 14 days in a row, the extension downloads the Free edition from the same public location, sending no data, and installs it (section 8). This does not depend on the update settings: it is part of the licence check, like the revoked licences list.
  2. Revoked licences list. Once a day, only on servers with a paid licence. It downloads a public list, signed by Dabbleam, from https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/licence/revoked, that contains only fingerprints of revoked licence files, and sends no data: we only receive the IP address and the User-Agent. It cannot be turned off: if a yearly licence (valid for more than 45 days) cannot check the list for 30 days, it stops working until the next successful check. Monthly licences do not need it.
  3. Automatic renewal of the licence. On when you upload a licence file; the administrator can turn it off. Once a day, from 7 days before the licence's end date until it gets the renewed licence file, it asks https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/licence for it, sending the server's Plesk licence number, your licence's service id and a SHA-256 fingerprint of the licence file you have now (not the file), plus the IP address. With it off, you upload each new licence file from your client area or the renewal e-mail.

From the renewal and from the update check with a paid licence we keep only the date and IP address of the last successful check for each licence, overwritten each time and deleted 30 days after the licence ends; daily backups of the server keep them for at most 60 more days. We do not store the fingerprint, and we keep nothing about downloads, paid or free, or about the revoked licences list. None of the three connections is logged, nor the content of the requests. To limit abuse, we accept up to 60 requests per hour from each IP address; the counter (IP address, start of the hour and count) is deleted within a few minutes after that hour is over. If dabbleam.com cannot be reached, nothing else changes. This applies to the extension's connections. If you download the paid copy from your client area, that download is recorded in our web server's logs like any other page of the area (point 12 of our privacy policy).

This is the only data the extension sends to Dabbleam. No telemetry, usage statistics or host data; the only count is that of Free edition installations, and only if the administrator agrees. See our privacy policy, https://dabbleam.com/privacidad#punto-14 (in Spanish; the English version will be published at https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/privacy).

10 Data on your server

  • The extension keeps its data on your server, and Dabbleam never sees it: hosts, the activity log (with caller IP addresses; 30 days by default, configurable from 1 to 3,650), failed calls (kept 10 minutes), allowed networks, alert settings and the alert history. The privacy policy lists it in detail.
  • Pro alerts go only to the e-mail addresses and webhooks your users set up, never to Dabbleam.
  • The Plesk server operator is the controller of this data; Dabbleam is not a processor of it. You are responsible for complying with data protection law, for your configuration and access, for keeping host keys secret and for backing up your server and DNS zones.

11 Ownership and third-party components

The extension belongs to Dabbleam SL. It is proprietary, licensed and not sold. Its code is not encrypted, but that gives you no right to change it. The only bundled open-source component is prop-types 15.8.1 (MIT licence), listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES. React, React DOM and the Plesk UI come with Plesk and are not bundled; there are no third-party PHP libraries.

12 What you may not do

Unless this agreement or the law allows it, you may not:

  • circumvent, disable or tamper with the licence check or a licence file, or create, alter or share licence files;
  • modify or patch the code to change the licensing, the limits or the edition;
  • otherwise copy or modify the extension, beyond what is needed to install, back up and run it;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law allows, such as for interoperability (Article 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC);
  • distribute, sell, rent, lend or sublicense the extension itself (letting your customers use it from Plesk is allowed);
  • use a licence file on a server other than its own;
  • remove, alter or hide the mark of a paid copy;
  • share, publish or let others download a paid copy: each copy is for its licence's server.

13 Updates

  • The Free edition and its updates are public: they are downloaded without a licence from https://dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/releases/. The paid editions and their updates can only be downloaded with a valid licence, from your client area or from the extension itself, and each copy carries your licence's mark (section 4.4).
  • When a new version is out, the administrator sees it in Extensions > Dynamic DNS > About and installs it with one button. If the administrator ticks "Install updates automatically" (off by default), the daily check installs new versions by itself.
  • Only packages signed by Dabbleam are installed, never an older version than the one you have and, in the paid editions, only copies with your server's mark.
  • The move to the Free edition after 14 days without a valid licence (section 8) happens even if you have turned off the update check or automatic installation.
  • We test updates reasonably before publishing them. Deciding whether and when to install them, and keeping backups of the server, is up to the administrator, without affecting your legal rights as a consumer: an update of ours that does not work as described is our responsibility.
  • We announce updates needed to keep the extension working as described, including security updates. If a consumer does not install one, we are not responsible for a fault it would have fixed, provided we told them about it and what not installing it means.

14 Support

  • For every edition, Free included, by e-mail at support@dabbleam.com, in English, Spanish, German, French or Italian.
  • First response within 24 business hours (clock hours on business days, as in section 10 of our general conditions). Hours, as for all our services: Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 18:00 and Friday 8:00 to 14:00, Cádiz time, except public holidays (national, Andalusian and local in Cádiz; listed at https://dabbleam.com/festivos). We are also closed on 24 and 31 December, which count as holidays. This is a target, not a guaranteed service level.
  • Never send us host keys. We will never ask for them.

15 If it does not work as described

  • We make reasonable efforts so that the extension works as documented, and fix reported faults.
  • Consumers keep the full legal guarantee of conformity for digital content: with a paid licence, the extension must work as described for the whole period paid. If it does not, you can ask us to fix it free of charge and, if we cannot or do not in a reasonable time, to reduce the price or end the contract.
  • Businesses: beyond that, and as far as the law allows, the extension is provided "as is", without other warranties, such as fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation.

16 Liability

  • Consumers: we are liable as the law says, without caps.
  • Businesses: our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the licence concerned in the 12 months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect damage or lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. These limits do not apply to intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or where the law forbids them.
  • For everyone: we are not liable for what does not depend on us, such as your configuration, systems outside the extension (DNS servers, resolvers, caches, update clients), or force majeure (events that could not be foreseen or, if foreseen, avoided).

17 Ending this agreement

  • You may stop at any time by uninstalling the extension, and cancel payments as section 6 says.
  • If you seriously breach this agreement, in particular section 12, we may end your licence by e-mail, after giving you 15 days to put it right where possible. You must then stop using and uninstall the extension.
  • When a paid licence ends for any other reason, this agreement continues for the Free edition.

18 Changes

The version in force is published at https://dabbleam.com/eula-dns-dinamico, and a new version is shown in the panel for acceptance. For paid licences, we e-mail you at least 30 days before a change to this agreement or to the price. If you disagree, you can cancel without penalty before it applies, and we refund the unused part of any period paid in advance. Your price stays until your next renewal.

19 Complaints, law and courts

  • Complaints: support@dabbleam.com, a ticket in your client area, +34 856 83 91 96 or a letter to our address. We give you a reference number and answer within 15 days at most.
  • Consumers can also use the Andalusian complaint forms (hojas de quejas y reclamaciones) and the arbitration boards listed in our general conditions. We are not part of the Spanish consumer arbitration system.
  • Spanish law applies. Consumers living elsewhere in the EU also keep the protection of their country's mandatory law.
  • Consumers can sue in the courts where they live, and we can only sue them there. Businesses established in Spain: the courts with jurisdiction under the law. Businesses established outside Spain: the courts of Cádiz (Article 25 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012).
