Support

Before you write

  • Setup guides for routers and clients: dabbleam.com/dynamic-dns/docs
  • Most problems show up in the extension's activity log (the Activity tab of Dynamic DNS, on the domain's page or, for the administrator, in Extensions > My Extensions > Dynamic DNS): the answer the client got (badauth, nohost, dnserr, abuse...) says what is wrong.
  • Common causes:
    • badauth: the key was mistyped, or it was regenerated in Plesk and the device still has the old one.
    • nohost: the host name sent by the device is not the one the key belongs to.
    • dnserr: the device sent an IPv6 address to an IPv4-only host (or the other way round), or an invalid value.
    • No answer at all: the device cannot reach the panel port (8443). See "Reaching the endpoints" in the documentation.
    • The record changes in Plesk but the name does not resolve to it: the domain's nameservers are not serving the Plesk zone, or a resolver still has the old answer cached (TTL).

Contact

  • E-mail: support@dabbleam.com
  • Languages: English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.
  • First response within 24 business hours (clock hours on business days). Hours, as for all our services: Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 18:00 and Friday 8:00 to 14:00, Cádiz time, except public holidays (national, Andalusian and local in Cádiz; listed at https://dabbleam.com/festivos). We are also closed on 24 and 31 December. This is a target, not a guaranteed service level.

Please include:

  • Plesk version and operating system (Tools & Settings > Server Information);
  • the version of the extension;
  • the client or router model and firmware;
  • the relevant lines of the activity log and the exact answer the client got.

Never send host keys. We will never ask for them. If one was exposed, regenerate it in Plesk.

Billing and licences

Licences are sold and billed by Dabbleam in its store at dabbleam.com. Your invoices, renewals and the licence file (.lic) are in your client area. For payment, invoice or renewal questions, or a licence file the extension does not accept, write to support@dabbleam.com.

Security issues

Report vulnerabilities privately to support@dabbleam.com, with "Security" in the subject. Please give us a reasonable time to fix them before disclosing them.
